Most Likely Clemson Bowl Destinations
Breaking Down Possible Bowl Games
The Duke’s Mayo Bowl (ACC vs. SEC) in Charlotte on Dec. 27 is the top destination to date in our hypothetical odds at +315 (24.1% chance). It is followed closely by the ReliaQuest Bowl (ACC/Big Ten vs. SEC) Jan. 1 in Tampa +400 (20%) If selected, this would be the Tigers’ 16th bowl appearance on New Year's Day and first since a 49-28 loss to Ohio State in the 2021 Sugar Bowl.
A trip out west could happen as the Holiday Bowl (Pac-12 vs. ACC) in San Diego is third (+450) on the list with an 18.2% chance. A date for the game is to be determined. One bowl the Tigers are quite familiar with is the Gator Bowl(ACC, SEC, Big Ten) at +550 (15.4%) in Jacksonville on Dec. 29. Clemson has appeared in the Gator Bowl nine times (4-5, lost three straight) previously, most recently a 26-21 loss to Nebraska on Jan. 1, 2009. The Pinstripe Bowl (ACC vs. Big Ten) Dec. 28 at Yankee Stadium in New York is the last on our list (+700, 12.5%).
The Tigers have lost three of their last four bowl games, including a 31-14 loss to Tennessee in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30, 2022. Clemson has six games remaining on their schedule and needs two wins to become bowl eligible, starting with a trip to Miami on Oct. 21.
